Sihanoukville: Preah Sihanouk Provincial Governor Kouch Chamroeun is eyeing to establish an ecotourism area in the province to boost the tourism sector. He has visited the proposed eco-tourism boat port in Trapeang Kea village on Tuesday and urged private enterprise to establish an ecotourism port in Preah Sihanouk province.

The governor also emphasizes that tourism can also use this port to transport tourists to visit the flooded forest area along the canal.

According to the inspection of the proposed site for the construction of the eco-tourism boat port, the actual location of the land in this area has been systematically registered by cutting a 30-meter-long canal, while the applicant claims that he will cooperate with the competent authorities all levels to protect the flooded forest area along the Kampong Smach canal as well.
